About Us

Formed in 1982 by Bill Blenkinsop, Billie Stephens, Martin Chapple and Julian Mann, Swanbank has been raising money for charities since 1984 by performing well-loved musicals and cabarets in a variety of venues, including the prestigious Wimbledon Theatre and Putney Arts Theatre, as well as Cannizaro Park Open Air Theatre.

To date we have raised £105,000 for charity. We receive no grants of any kind and are grateful to our patrons and supporters who give us the incentive to carry on with our charitable work. We are justly proud of what can be achieved by amateur theatre.

We are always delighted to welcome new members in any capacity - singers (soloists and chorus), dancers, rehearsal pianists, orchestral members, costume and makeup helpers, backstage and front of house staff. We rehearse in Putney on Tuesday evenings. Principals rehearse on Friday evenings.
